Amherstview

Nestled along Lake Ontario’s north shores, Amherstview is a safe, growing community in Loyalist Township with a small-town charm. Home to about 8,000 residents, it offers an ideal escape for those who want a slower pace without giving up urban conveniences. The city is named after Lord Jeffrey Amherst and was founded in 1950. It’s well-connected with Kingston and Loyalist Township by public transit and HWYs 33 and 401.

If you’re into outdoor activities, Amherstview Golf Course has a gorgeous semi-private course, while Parrott’s Bay Conservation Area is the local spot for hiking, fishing, barbecues, and laid-back picnics. Plus, the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail is nearby for those who enjoy lakeside walks or bike rides with a view.
